Ready-to-use mix for Kozunak           1000g

Fresh yeast or                                         40g

dry yeast                                                 15g

Oil                                                         80ml

Milk ot water                              400 - 450ml

Flavor: lemon, vanilla and others 


Prepare a smooth mixture by combining the ready-to-use mix for Easter bread, yeast, oil, milk or water and the flavors and then leave to rest at room temperature for around 20 - 30 minutes. The dough is then kneaded again, and optionally one could add soaked raisins, nuts or other dried fruits; divide into 3 dough pieces, bring them in a round shape and leave to rest for 10 - 15 minutes. After relaxation, grease with oil and roll out the dough pieces. Prepare the Easter bread in the desired form and shape (braid the dought) and place them in pre-greased with oil baking forms. Leave them to rest for 40 – 60 minutes. Before baking, brush the dough with the whisked egg and sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 180°C temperature.
